After a year here, I finally feel like I am ready to hit the pavement. It wasn’t until November that I was able to move into my own apartment and get settled once again. ![]() Coming back proved an eye-opening experience and showed me that my life, as well as myself, were not quite the same. I moved back to the NYC Tri-state area in the summer of 2016 with renewed energies. ![]() I like to call it my sabbatical and it lasted a year… eleven months to be exact! It taught me that the power was always inside of me to transform air into dreams come true. This was the time the Universe made me understand that I was still that 5-year-old girl who loved magic, stars, rainbows, and unicorns. Miami in search of sunshine, and well, magic… and oh did I find it! I thought I had come to meeting myself all over again a year before that, but apparently, there was more to learn. In 2014, I packed my bags and moved to Magic City a.k.a. However, life was not moving… at all… so, I needed a change… a reset. After a big change in my life in 2013, I hustled harder and got to work writing for so many online and in print publications as well as appear on TV, model, and being featured in an NYC magazine. I learned so much, I grew so much, and so many things happened in the in-between including launching my freelancing career when I started working as a fashion writer with Latin é. That’s where I started working as a Production Assistant for a fashion company, started my MFA (originally in Fashion Design), did an internship with a Fashion Designer, and started my blog in hopes of sharing my steps within the fashion industry from student to fashion dream career with the world.Ģ010 was the year I said, “Eff it! I’m going to focus on school and my blog”. Remember the start of the recession in 2008? Well, bye-bye first job and welcome realization that I wanted to work in fashion. My first grown-up job was working as an Administrative Assistant for a boutique advertising agency in the neighborhood of Chelsea in New York City. I’ve also been trained in singing, modeling, acting, and sarcasm. My education includes a BA in Communications with a concentration in Media Production and a minor in Advertising from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in San Juan, PR, plus an MFA in Fashion Journalism from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA.
